New Income Streams Improve ROI

ExpoMatch gives the Organiser new sources of income, including the sale of business leads to Exhibitors and Visitors. It generates leads based on mutual and complementary business interests. ExpoMatch generates matches between Visitor and Exhibitor, Visitor-Visitor and Exhibitor-Exhibitor. Organiser ROI increases from the sale of these leads. The extra business generated increases Visitor and Exhibitor Return on Investment. Lead generation can begin before the show, as soon as the stakeholder has registered. It continues throughout the show and after the show.

Exhibitors and Visitors no longer have to spend time sorting through catalogues, floorplans and business cards, because high-quality leads come directly to their smartphone. Exhibitors and Visitors simply decide whether to accept the lead or not. If a meeting between matched parties is impossible on the day of the show, the lead can be followed up later. It follows that a potential client or customer need never be missed – even if they were unable to visit your booth at the show.

Stakeholders use their time at the show more efficiently, because ExpoMatch generates good quality business leads automatically. The app guides the recipient to the appropriate stand. ExpoMatch generates leads based on indicated product interest. Exhibitor and Visitor satisfaction and engagement increase, because they spend their time at the show more effectively, and lead capture increases, resulting in improved Return on Investment. In turn, this boosts take-up for the next show, improving Organiser ROI. (Re-registration rose from 50% before the ExpoMatch pilot to 90% afterwards). Knowledge of the increased take-up by Visitors and Exhibitors simplifies the planning of transport, catering, accommodation and other ancillary services for the show.

Early registration, with accurate catalogue information, promotes business. There is no point entering false information when registering – it would simply result in fewer, lower quality leads. Exhibitors and Visitors should not fear an avalanche of spam, because ExpoMatch generates  high quality leads, and transmits them automatically and securely in real time. The double opt-in system respects Privacy: the individual consents to information-sharing before any details are securely passed on. The recipient selects the leads they wish to accept.

ExpoMatch provides detailed profiles for the Organiser. The data helps planning for the next show, including marketing, booth location, and the identification of anchor exhibitors. Furthermore, ExpoMatch produces realtime charts of booth activity, by location and by product. Because of their fine detail, these reports enable the most accurate calculation of event ROI yet available.

ExpoMatch relies on existing technology: the app on the user’s personal smartphone, and WiFi. So there is no need for extra hardware installation or gadgets, and no need to generate a barcode for each visitor. The booth number entry or QR code scan is transmitted quickly using narrow band WiFi. ExpoMatch data is sent and received via narrow band WiFi, a strong signal which cannot be used for other purposes, such as internet access.
